Latest update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Al-Nassr

The future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr has been a topic of debate amongst football fans worldwide after his current contract expires in June 2025.

There are reports that the Portuguese international is linked with a move to a club playing at the FIFA Club World Cup. The director of Al-Nassr Fernando Hierro confirmed in an interview that the club are already speaking with Cristiano Ronaldo as they are looking to agreeing on a new deal.

“Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence from the beginning is a national project. He is a huge phenomenon in the history of football, has helped the league grow. We are in contact to renew his contract and hope he continues with us”.

The speculation of Ronaldo leaving the fuel was fuelled by his social media post after the last game of the season. He posted, This chapter is over” hours after the Saudi Pro League wrapped up this week with Al Nassr finishing third and trophyless.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 after things broke out between himself and Manchester United. There is a possibility that he plays at the Club World Cup after FIFA gave opportunity to participating teams to sign players during the special transfer window from June 1-10.

There are reports from Saudi Arabia that Ronaldo will not reach an agreement for a contract extension at Al-Nassr.
