Get ready for a scorching summer, even if the British weather hasn’t got the memo yet. Love Island is set to grace our telly screens in just a few weeks, promising a fresh batch of steamy on-screen romances.
While we’re still on tenterhooks for the official announcement of 2025’s non-celeb line-up, we’ve got the inside scoop on some other bombshells set to make a splash in the villa. Beauty bombshells, that is. Boots is once again the official beauty sponsor of Love Island, and this year they’re shaking things up. Instead of the usual favourites like Fenty and No7, the villa will be kitted out with more niche brands.
Over 130 beauty brands will be making their way into the villa, including exciting newcomers like Medicube, GHD, Tocobo and Glow for It. If you’re wondering why Medicube sounds familiar, it’s probably because it has a very famous fan: Meghan Markle. The Duchess named the brand as one of her favourites on her ShopMy page, and it quickly gained attention due to its affordability compared to the other premium brands she listed, reports the Mirror. Her top pick? The Medicube Collagen Jelly Cream, available at Boots for £26.
Helps to give a ‘glass skin’ glow

Our very own Mirror beauty editor Laura couldn’t wait to get her hands on this product. She shares, “This was the product I was most excited to test. I’d heard that Korean brand Medicube had been making waves in the US thanks to its clever textures and formulations, but until recently, it was only available through Amazon. Now, it’s finally launched at Boots – and this lightweight gel-cream, packed with hydrolysed collagen, is possibly the standout of the range.
“The texture is unlike anything I’ve ever come across: a vivid red, bouncy formula with a firm, jelly-like consistency that you scoop out with a little spatula. I usually find gel moisturisers don’t offer quite enough hydration, sinking into my skin too quickly – but not this one. It left my skin feeling smooth, plumped, and with that coveted ‘glass skin’ finish, minus any greasiness you sometimes get with ultra-dewy creams.”

Laura was amazed by the overnight results: “I used it before bed and genuinely couldn’t believe how good my skin looked – almost like it had been coated in a clear film of PVA glue (in the best way possible). A total surprise hit… next time, I’ll be saving this glow for the daytime!”.
In other news, ghd has become the new go-to hair tool brand in the villa’s glam room, which spells fabulous news for the contestants. With cutting-edge tools like the Duet Blow Dry Brush, priced at £389, and the Triple Barrel Hair Waver, costing £159, we’re expecting to see an array of mermaid waves and blow-dried styles.
We’re eagerly waitinf for more gossip straight from the Love Island villa’s glam room!
