Man United open talks with Victor Osimhen – Report

Manchester United have reportedly opened negotiations with Victor Osimhen in a bid to bring the in-form Nigerian striker to Old Trafford next season, according to TuttoJuve.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A side Napoli, Osimhen has been in scintillating form, netting 33 goals and providing eight assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.

His performances have reignited interest from top European clubs, with United now said to be leading the chase.

Osimhen’s loan at Galatasaray runs until the end of the season, and he has a €75 million (£64 million) release clause in his Napoli contract.

Despite ongoing speculation, Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek recently addressed rumours about the forward’s future, although no formal comment has been made on a permanent deal.

United are desperate to bolster their attack this summer. Current options like Rasmus Højlund have yet to consistently deliver in front of goal, and Joshua Zirkzee is not viewed as a striker.

With new manager Ruben Amorim keen to bring in a clinical finisher, Osimhen has been identified as a top transfer target.

“Manchester United have made a strong move in the transfer market and have already begun talks with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is on loan at Galatasaray this season,” TuttoJuve reports.

“The English club have identified the Nigerian striker as a priority in strengthening their squad for next season.”

United’s Champions League qualification hopes could play a key role in landing the striker, as top-tier European football remains a major attraction for elite signings.

While Juventus are also monitoring Osimhen, Manchester United are believed to be acting fast to gain an advantage.
