Marks and Spencer trousers that ‘look like regular jeans’ are less than £30

Marks and Spencer trousers that ‘look like regular jeans’ are less than £30

Marks and Spencer’s online orders are finally back after a cyberattack halted sales through its website for six weeks. However, customers can currently only snap up the retailer’s clothing as it slowly returns to full online operations.

For us, the one item to buy immediately is the Denim Drawstring Wide-Leg Trousers, £27.50. Already a hit with M&S fans, these bottoms are a great option for those who find jeans uncomfortable due to their cotton-rich denim fabric.

What makes the trousers so breezy is an elasticated waistband with a drawstring fastening, which allows for a comfy fit. They also have a wide-leg fit and four pockets, including two on the sides and two at the back. No wonder shoppers have been rushing to buy them.

What’s more, the chic bottoms come in four different colours: indigo blue, poppy red, light beige, and black. They have gained over 200 reviews on Marks and Spencer’s website, with an overal rating of 4.5 stars out of five.

A similar style from New Look is the Light Blue Drawstring Waist Soft Denim Trousers. Costing £26.99, this effortless piece claims to have roomy, wide legs and a drawstring waist, for maximum comfort.

Crafted using cotton-rich denim, these trousers will surely make a perfect addition to any smart-casual wardrobe. They come in a wide-leg fit, with an elasticated high waist and drawstring fastening.

Elsewhere, for those who don’t mind splurging, celeb-approved brand COS has these Wide-Leg Denim Trousers for £85. They are made from organic cotton denim in a wide-leg shape.

Marks and Spencer’s Denim Drawstring Wide-Leg Trousers work perfectly for casual days out during summer with trainers, heels or flats. Ideal for pairing with T-shirts, long-sleeve tops or jumpers, they’re incredibly versatile.

One five-star reviewer said: “Great shape, legs not too wide. Look like regular jeans but drawstring is super comfortable.”

A second shopper, who bought the red colourway, penned: “Good weight for spring and cooler summer days. Well-designed and of good quality. Adjustable waist (hoorah) for comfort. Generously cut – I could easily have gone down a size, but I prefer a loose fit.”

Another fan wrote: “I was so surprised they were such great quality and very stylish. I will buy in each colour – including red!”

Yet, some pointed out issued with the sizing, as one said: “These are nice enough wide leg drawstring trousers but I have an issue with the proportions of M&S larger sized short length trousers – it seems to be assumed that those of us falling into this category have very long bodies and very short legs.”

The Denim Drawstring Wide-Leg Trousers are available on the M&S site for £27.50. They’re offered in petite, regular and tall sizes.
