Maura Higgins’ stylist shares how to copy her ‘XL Body Bob’ with products she ‘missed most in the jungle’

After her jungle adventure on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here last year, Maura Higgins has returned to her glamorous self. The reality star was separated from her favourite beauty products during the show, and recently revealed the one she missed the most – her haircare.

On the Sheerluxe podcast, Maura confessed: “I use a lot of the Color Wow products. My main go-to product is called Dream Coat because I have really really frizzy hair, and if you saturate your hair with that it keeps the frizz at bay. And that’s the one thing I did miss in the jungle.”

Now reunited with her beloved haircare products, Maura’s hairstylist and pal Carl Bembridge demonstrated how he uses the Color Wow range to create Maura’s iconic voluminous bob. In an Instagram post, Carl explained how he styled Maura’s “XL Body Bob”, starting with Color Wow’s Raise the Root Thicken and Lift Spray, currently discounted at LookFantastic for £16.95 (down from £21.50).

Carl shared that he applied the spray to wet hair directly onto Maura’s roots, which helps add volume and body while still being easy to style. He then used the Color Wow Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer, £24, all over the rest of Maura’s hair, with the foam adding fullness, texture and hold.

Carl then styled Maura’s locks with a blow-dry and heated styling into large, loose curls. Fear not about damage – Color Wow’s products are packed with heat protection for worry-free styling. Carl used the Style on Steroids Performance Enhancing Texture Spray, £26.50, for lasting grip and texture, and topped it off with Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray, £28, for that extra glossy finish.

While Maura is a fan of Color Wow’s Dream Coat for banishing frizz, there are other options like the Moroccanoil Frizz Shield Styling Spray from Amazon at £11.85, which has earned rave reviews, reports the Mirror.
