Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB), the top company in Nigeria’s beer market, has announced that Sarah Agha will become its new Marketing Director, starting from June 1, 2025.Â
The news was shared in a statement signed by Hans Essaadi, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries. In her new role, Sarah will report directly to Essaadi and also join the company’s Management Team.
Who is Sarah Agha?Sarah Agha has over 15 years of experience working in marketing and leadership roles in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and telecommunications industries.Â
She joined Heineken in 2018 through Nigerian Breweries and has achieved great success growing brands like Heineken, Desperados, Star, Gulder, and Legend Extra Stout.
Right now, she works as the Regional Marketing Excellence Director for Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe at Heineken. In this role, she has helped build strong customer-focused brands, improved how marketing is done across different countries and supported innovation.

Leadership Changes: Emma Oriakhi’s New RoleAlong with Sarah’s appointment, Nigerian Breweries also announced that Emma Oriakhi, who was the former Marketing Director, has now been promoted to Sales Director.
Emma Oriakhi has over 18 years of experience working across Africa and the Middle East. He played a major role in increasing sales, profits, and brand strength for Nigerian Breweries.
During his time as Marketing Director, Oriakhi led many important projects like:
Big marketing and advertising campaigns
Creating new product ideas
Building stronger sales teams
Improving trade marketing plans
He also spent nearly seven years working in Amsterdam for Heineken, where he led many brand development projects before returning to Nigeria.
Emma studied Mathematics and Economics at the University of Benin, earned a Master’s degree in Global Management from the University of Salford, and completed leadership programs at Harvard Business School.
