If you’re struggling with what to sip instead of your usual boozy bevvy, Millie’s recommendations are here to save the day. For the wine lovers, she suggests Wild Idol’s alcohol-free Brut giftbox, which is a hit at Selfridges for £30 – although it’s so popular it’s currently out of stock, reports the Mirror. But don’t worry, we’re also a fan of Sea Change’s 0% Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Wine, and it’s currently available for £11.50 on Amazon.
For mocktail lovers, the Pentire Margarita Alcohol Free Ready To Drink Margarita at £18.83 is a fabulous alternative, boasting a completely natural recipe using native Cornish plants. A satisfied customer shared their review: “Tastes really fresh and zesty, perfect shaken over ice or with a bit of chilli added (like the Pentire Picantes sold at Soho House). Would definitely recommend!”
Also featured on the list for alcohol-free options are the Three Spirit Non-Alcoholic Alternative Spirits Starter Gift Set, retailing at £44.99, and Trip CBD Drinks, currently discounted from £18 to £13.50 for a 12 pack, known to ease anxiety and stress.

When it comes to books that might aid in reducing alcohol consumption or embracing a sober lifestyle, one of Millie’s big recommendations is Love Life Sober: A 40-Day Alcohol Fast to Rediscover Your Joy, Improve Your Health, and Renew Your Mind, available at Waterstones for £15.99. Designed to support you in discovering the pleasures of life sans alcohol, this book is all about revolutionizing your socialization habits.
Another must-read is The Little Book of Mocktails for £6.43, brimming with recipes for non-alcoholic versions of classic cocktails. It’s the ultimate guide to crafting delicious drinks devoid of booze, including tips on what ingredients can substitute for alcohol.
Finally, Millie couldn’t help but plug the pre-order for her own book on sobriety, Bad Drunk, which is set to launch on January 16. The book, co-written with NHS GP Dr Ellie Cannon, combines personal stories, practical advice and tips to help you navigate Dry Jan – or a complete lifestyle transformation.
