Whether you’re heading off on a long-haul flight or taking a quick weekend break, the ability to rest properly en route can make a big difference. One of the most common challenges travellers face – especially on flights – is getting decent sleep while sitting upright.

Finding a comfortable sleeping position on a plane is notoriously difficult, and the lack of neck support often leads to aches and stiffness, which is why a good neck pillow has become an essential item in many travellers’ carry-ons. Millie Mackintosh, former Made in Chelsea star and frequent flyer, recently offered her followers a glimpse into her wellness travel must-haves.

Among her favourites was the OstrichPillow Go Neck Pillow, priced at £68.49. She posted a photo of herself using it during a flight on Instagram, captioning it: “Neck pillow from Healf – first one I have found that doesn’t hurt my neck.”

Most standard neck pillows often rely on soft foam that compresses and flattens over time and offer minimal support. Instead, the Go Neck Pillow features premium memory foam that contours to the shape of your neck, maintaining alignment and reducing the risk of both neck and back pain, making it especially helpful for those who frequently wake up mid-flight with a sore neck.

With its 360° ergonomic design, the Go Neck Pillow supports your head from all sides, preventing it from falling forward or to the side. A velcro strap allows you to adjust the fit to your preference, ensuring its just the right amount of snug and supportive.

It’s also ideal for travel, as the memory foam compresses to 60% of its original size making it easy to squash into your carry on bag, and then springs back into shape when unpacked. For added convenience, the removable outer cover is machine washable, helping it stay fresh trip after trip.

Though the product currently has just two reviews, both gave it five stars. One user wrote: “Very comfortable Worth the cost.” Another added: “Great pillow…. Competitive price and does exactly as it said it will. Often nap in the recliner chair, so pop this on, great support and no more neck pain…”

If you’re looking for alternatives, the Relaxd Travel Pillow is a budget-friendly option, currently reduced to £16.99 from £19.99. It offers similar 360° support and includes an eye mask and ear plugs for a more restful flight. Another popular choice is the Cirorld Travel Pillow, now just £11.89, which features memory foam filling for pain relief, although it may not provide the same full-coverage support as the OstrichPillow, reports the Mirror.
