Musawa, Uzodinma, ex-govs to attend 2025 Iriji Mbaise festival in Imo

Hanatu Musa Musawa, Minister for.Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy; Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, the Past Governors of the State and other eminent Nigerians are set to grace the 2025 Iriji Mbaise Annual Cultural Festival in Imo State.

Joe Ogbonna Anosike, the President-General of Ezuruezu Mbaise, said that the Cultural Group had officially invited to grace the 2025 Iriji Mbaise Cultural Festival.

Consequently, Anosike called on Mbaise sons and daughters from the three Local Government Areas that make up the Mbaise nation, who are at home and in Diaspora, to get ready for the Mbaise mega cultural festival. This, as he urged them, to contribute immensely towards the success stories of the annual yam festival, holding on August 15, 2025.

Anosike, a Surveyor, who spoke during harmonisation meeting of the 2025 Iriji Mbaise annual cultural festival central planning Committee, would involve Ezuruezu Mbaise, Ndi Eze and Ndi Ezeji.

During the harmonisation meeting, Anosike dismissed insinuations that Mbaise was at war against itself over the planning of her annual cultural yam festival. He, therefore, promised everyone a rancour-free and better ceremony.

Also speaking, Austin Onwubiko, Chairman of the Publicity Committee of 2025 Iriji Mbaise Cultural Festival, pleaded with Governor Uzodinma and the Chairmen of the three Local Government Areas in Mbaise on the need to fix several impassable roads in Mbaise prior to the home coming event.

Also, Eze Kachi Nwoga reminded the people of Mbaise that the month of August is traditionally viewed as a holy month, thanksgiving to God for bumper harvest and trouble-free among the people of the area.

HRH, Eze Ben Ifeanyichukwu Adindu, the traditional ruler of Itu autonomous community, expressed his happiness over the outcome of the meeting and affirmed that all necessary interest Groups had been fused into the central planning committee, just as Gregory Ikeaagwu, the President of Ndi Ezeji, corroborated the statement during his own speech.

The 2025 Iriji Mbaise Central Planning Committee meeting was chaired by Steve Onu with Ezeji Kachi Nwoga, representing Ndi Ezeji in the central planning committee.
