Summer is just around the corner, and many shoppers are on the hunt for comfortable, lightweight clothing items that won’t be too hot in the sun, or when they’re on holiday abroad. One piece from New Look that’s caught the attention of shoppers is the light blue drawstring waist denim trousers (£26.99).
The fashion brand recently launched these trousers and they’re already being praised by a number of fans, but be warned as they’re selling out fast with limited sizes still available. There are alternatives on the market with a more varied size range.
For example, the White Stuff is offering these navy blue Belle Linen Wide Leg Trousers for £69. Elsewhere, Next is selling a similar pair of wide leg trousers in a linen material for £36 – they’re offered in a variety of colours including ecru, white, navy, chocolate brown and black.

New Look’s trousers come in two washes: dark denim and light blue. The trousers are a wide fit with a drawstring waist for comfort, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Online, the model pairs them with a white ribbed vest, a white long-sleeve curved hem poplin shirt and a brown bag. These trousers are a great potential purchase for shoppers preparing for the summer months because they can be easily styled with lots of tops, vests and shirts.
In the reviews, one shopper described the trousers as “great lightweight trousers, perfect for the summer”. A second shopper said: “Great length and lightweight for summer! So comfy love them.”

However, another buyer warns they’re long, writing: “Nice bit so long I’m 5ft6 and I’m still going to have to take up.”
A fourth customer added: “Great trousers for the transition from Spring to Summer. Love the wide leg and leg length is just right. I really like the light denim colour and the movement of the fabric.”
A fifth buyer added, ” I didn’t have these in my size in the store, but I managed to find them online. I ordered two sizes, 10 and 12, to see which one fit me best. The 10 fit just fine. Returns are easy through your app and free to store.
“Lovely fit, nice and lightweight, good quality material washes really well. Plenty of room so comfortable to wear.”
