Nobody’s Child ‘beautiful’ vintage-inspired dress with pockets is selling fast

If we had to chose one dress as a winning style for transitioning from spring to summer, it would have to be the best-selling ‘Starlight’ dress from Nobody’s Child. With its cinched in waist panel, flattering V-neckline and A-line skirt, it’s flattering on women of all shapes and sizes. The piece is also so in demand that it has been developed, over the years, to come in a multitude of designs, lengths and colours.

One recent version that has newly dropped on the brand’s website, ready for spring and summer, is the Cream Printed Starlight Midi Dress, which costs £110, and is just one of 19 designs. Made from a breathable linen and viscose blend, it’s ideal for the warm weather and would make the ultimate holiday and garden party ensemble.

Featuring a cream colourway, the dress is adorned with a vintage-inspired print of fruit and vegetables, perfect for standing out this season. We think it’s absolutely beautiful.

With floaty puff sleeves, fabric covered buttons and midi length, it’s a dress that can be dressed up or down to be appropriate for any and every occasion.

Plus, one detail we love is that it has pockets – a similar feature that can be found in M&S’ Denim V-Neck Tie Detail Midi Waisted Dress, £49.50, if you wanted something a bit warmer. For a polka dot pattern, Next’s black and white spot print button down dress, £44, has a similar style to Nobody’s Child’s Starlight design with its V-neckline, button-down front and puff sleeves at a lower price tag.

While there are no reviews from shoppers about this particular Starlight dress design from Nobody’s Child, shoppers have praised other colours and patterns on social media and Trust Pilot.

The Starlight style is a favourite of former Made In Chelsea star and author Louise Thompson, who has previously been spotted in the plum variation as well as the sleeveless one, and said the cut was great for petite frames. She raved about the brand: “They make clothes that are diddy for us petite folk – right the way down to a UK4. No more boxy shoulders for me, which means I will never leave the house resembling an upside down triangle again. Yay.”

Fans of the Starlight dress worn by Louise have added comments of admiration, like “Obsessed” and “Beautiful” – we couldn’t agree more. The Cream Printed Starlight Midi Dress comes in both regular and petite lengths and is available in sizes 4 to 24.

Another happy fan of the brand said: “I have about 12 dresses and a pair of trousers from Nobody’s Child. My most recent order (the ditsy blue Starlight dress) is stunning and my favourite piece to date!”

Someone else raved: “Their dresses are great quality and a lovely cut. The midaxi Starlight is a personal favourite, I’ve 3 and counting!”

Some people found the V-neckline ‘way too low’, while others said the dress was a little roomier than expected. Nobody’s Child responded: “The usual size is generally recommended for the Starlight dress, but if you’re looking for a closer fit, sizing down can also work.”
