Nobody’s Child ‘gorgeous’ new collection includes the dreamiest yellow dress

As a fashion writer, part of my job is to seek out the latest trends, the best deals and the must-have products that are causing a stir amongst fashion fans. One brand constantly on my radar due to its stunning and eco-conscious clothing is Nobody’s Child, with its gingham edit being spotted on royals and this black and white Felicity polka dot dress selling out in just days – which came as no surprise to me.

Just in time for spring, the celeb-loved retailer has just launched a new edit, which includes a yellow dress that I predict will fast become a hit for weddings as well as holidays: Beatrix. Now, as described by Nobody’s Child the Boutique Collection is defined by “intricate embroidery and elevated details” and “made for the free-spirited woman”.

And Beatrix is certainly that. ‘Selling fast’ despite only launching in the last few days, at £200 the dress is quite the investment but its style, fit and bright colour makes it clear to see why shoppers (myself included) are going wild for it.

Coming in two stunning hues, a deep cobalt blue and the colour of the season butter yellow, the sunshine-in-a-bottle dress is available in sizes 4-18 and is decorated in a contrasting white broderie anglaise on the sleeves and skirt, with white loop detailing featured on the seams and sweetheart neckline.

Short puff sleeves give a bit of drama to the look while the corset style bodice is flattering and feminine and makes for a stunning wedding guest option.

Fastened with fabric buttons, the Beatrix dress is designed to be semi-fitted and has a leg slit that can be adjusted depending on how many buttons you undo from the bottom. Paired with some gold heels and matching gold accessories, you’ve got a beautifully bold look for your bestie’s nuptials.

Or, swap out the heels for some gladiator sandals and a denim jacket and you’ve the perfect attire for a garden party. Made from 100% cotton, it looks to be super lightweight without being too see-through – according to the website pictures.

With no reviews on Nobody’s Child’s website, the only thing that might be a slight nuissance is finding the right sort of bra to wear with the dress – should you need one – as the straps look to sit quite far along the shoulders. Your best bet may be a strapless bra.

This yellow/blue dress isn’t all that’s included in the Boutique Collection that has caused jaws to drop. The Yellow Floral Embroidered Sofia Midi Dress, £180, is also proving a popular choice. The yellow midi features a delicate floral texture with soft ruching along the thick shoulder straps. A subtle sweetheart neckline makes it romantic, while the fitted bodice flows into a breezy skirt.

For a fun and ‘flirty’ number, the Green Broderie Anglaise Nicole Mini Dress, £130, comes in an eye-catching emerald green hue with a floral pattern. With balloon sleeves, a skater skirt, open back and string tie neckline, it’s such a fun dress that can be worn for both beach days and birthday parties come summer. Giving a sneak peek at the new collection on Instagram, Nobody’s Child shared a post which was captioned: “Bold, intricate, and made for the free spirit: Introducing the boutique collection. Crafted with intricate embroidery and elevated details, our new collection embraces the art of craftsmanship with modern ease. It’s the perfect match for your destination wedding and holiday wardrobe.”

Fans of the brand were quick to comment on the post, sharing their admiration for the new collection. One said: “Such incredible dresses,” while another said: “Love them all.” A third simply said: “Ohhh gorgeous.”

Nobody’s Child isn’t the only shopping brand leaning into the yellow trend this spring as the likes of Next, M&S, H&M and more have some gorgeous yellow dresses that will certainly turn heads. For example, Next’s Yellow Puff Sleeve Midi Dress, £52, is more of a relaxed style that is equally as flattering thanks to its ruched and shirred waistline and floaty sleeves.

If you prefer mini dresses, H&M’s Tie Back Puffy Dress is pale yellow is on sale for £20 down from £37.99. For deeper yellow dress that’s more free on the arms, the Linen Rich Halter Neck Midaxi Swing Dress from M&S is £39.50 and looks like an ideal option for warmer climates and holidays.
