The “serious” incident occurred around 1:47 p.m. at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Walkley Road, according to an April 21 press release from the Ottawa Police Service.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The southbound side of Riverside Drive was closed at the Walkley Road intersection while Ottawa police investigated the collision.
