Police in Ottawa are seeking a woman accused of punching and kicking a person at a Barrhaven bus stop.

Police say the alleged assault happened on Feb. 27 shortly before 4 p.m. at the Marketplace bus station, on Greenbank Road at Marketplace Avenue.

While the victim was waiting for the bus, the suspect approached and attacked them, police said. The suspect then left the area on foot towards Marketplace Avenue.

Police described the suspect as a white woman, between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5’7” with a slim build.

At the time of the incident, she was wearing a grey or green winter jacket, purple tuque and brown boots, according to police. She was also carrying a backpack and blue shopping bag.
