Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Sparks Controversy Over Comments on Pope Francis’ Death
Prominent Nigerian televangelist and founder of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has stirred widespread controversy following his remarks about the death of Pope Francis.
Following the announcement of the Pope’s passing — with official details about the cause of death remaining undisclosed — condolences flooded social media platforms around the world.
However, during a recent sermon, Pastor Chris alleged that Pope Francis’s death was linked to his COVID-19 vaccination. He claimed:
“I’m stating he was killed by the vaccine. They said he had a stroke. Where did the stroke come from? That’s one of the most common causes of death from the vaccine,” he said.
Oyakhilome further asserted that the true circumstances surrounding the Pope’s death may never be revealed to the public. According to him, the reported cause — a stroke — allegedly stemmed from complications related to the COVID-19 vaccine.
His statements have sparked strong reactions online, drawing both criticism and support from various quarters.
