PSG secured their first-ever UEFA Champions League title with a commanding 5–0 victory over Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena in Munich, ending years of heartbreak and near misses on Europe’s biggest stage.
Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing a swift move involving Vitinha and Désiré Doué. Doué then doubled the lead in the 20th minute with a deflected shot following a rapid counterattack.
Ousmane Dembélé struck with a third goal in the 63rd minute, while Kvaratskhelia extinguished any lingering hope for Inter in the 73rd minute as he netted PSG’s fourth goal.
Senny Mayulu hit the last nail in Inter Milan’s coffin with goal number five.
This triumph marks a historic treble for PSG, having already clinched the Ligue 1 and Coupe de France titles this season.
The French champions arrived in Munich as underdogs, but from kickoff, they looked every bit the hungrier team. Their high press stifled Inter’s rhythm, and it didn’t take long before Hakimi netted the first goal.
Inter Milan, finalists in 2023, struggled to assert themselves. Their experienced lineup, led by Lautaro MartÃnez and Nicolò Barella, struggled to cope with PSG’s relentless transitions.
This triumph marks a new era for PSG, one without the star power of Neymar, Messi, or Mbappé, but arguably more cohesive and more dangerous.
