It speaks of something unexplainable by natural laws, and thus, speaks of God’s involvement in a given situation. “Lifting” on the other hand means to be moved from one position to a higher position. “Supernatural Lifting” therefore means to be raised up — lifted up — in a manner that is above and beyond a natural means. It connotes becoming exceedingly great through divine help or a miraculous movement from a lower condition to a higher condition.
