The high street is chock-a-block with linen pieces, from trousers to co-ords and waistcoats. The fabric is a classic summertime choice because it’s airy and breathable to wear during hot days.
TV presenter Rochelle Humes has been showcasing many new-in Next summer linen pieces on the brand’s website, including a striking jacket. The Cotton Linen Blend Trophy Jacket is available in a light neutral hue.
Priced at £64, the lightweight outerwear piece has been released as part of Rochelle’s latest summer edit with Next. It features a structured fit, a collarless design and four faux pockets.

One shopper opted to size down, writing: “Lovely material. Very on trend. Great length to wear with jeans, a skirt or trousers. It can be dressed up or down. Quite a generous size. I tried size 14 first, but sized down to 12. ”
An additional buyer wasn’t as pleased: “It’s not suitable. The material is stiff and thick, and the jacket is too short.” Another buyer highlights its versatility, writing: “Great jacket for corporate or casual wear. Good quality. Fits true to size.”
Rochelle wears the Linen Blend Trophy Jacket with lightwash jeans and white ballet flats for a casual yet put-together daytime look. There are lots of other summer jacket alternatives on the high street, with some cheaper options available.
For instance, this cream denim jacket from White Stuff is a nice summer jacket to throw over jeans and dresses. The chic organic cotton piece has been knocked down to £56, marked down from its original price of £70.
Similarly, New Look is showcasing an effortlessly cool lightweight shacket, priced at £29.99. Available in five muted shades, it has a utilitarian military flair complete with snappy popper buttons.
Back to the customer reviews for Next’s Trophy Jacket, another buyer commented: “Nice smart jacket. Ideal for warmer days.” An additional shopper concludes: “Lovely little jacket. Great price. Sleeves are a little long for me, but easily turned up.”
