When those sweet cravings hit, this dish is the perfect answer. Taking inspiration from sesame halva, fill the soft and caramel-like Medjool dates with salted vanilla tahini. Both ingredients are a sneaky source of fiber, so the resulting stuffed dates will pack about seven grams per serving! Don’t skip the salt: It enhances the flavor and softens any lingering bitter notes in the tahini.
Recipe informationIngredients1
Tbsp. tahini
1
tsp. vanilla
⅛
tsp. cinnamon
3
Medjool dates, pitted and halved
⅛
tsp. salt or flaky salt
PreparationStep 1In a small bowl, mix tahini, vanilla, and cinnamon. You can either mix the salt into the tahini before stuffing the dates or, if you have flaky salt, add a generous pinch on top.
Step 2Divide the tahini mixture between the three dates and enjoy immediately.
