The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully conducted 28 life-changing cochlear implant surgeries for children in the Republic of Kenya, giving them a renewed opportunity to hear and connect with the world around them.

This remarkable intervention was announced by Mohammed Al-Sahabi, the Press Attaché at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Abuja, yesterday.

The surgeries took place last Saturday as part of the Saudi Sama’a Volunteer Program, which brought together 20 highly-skilled volunteers from various medical specialties.

In addition to the cochlear implants, 28 children also received crucial speech and language rehabilitation services.

Furthermore, the medical team organized 28 educational sessions for the children’s families, directly benefiting 50 individuals.

These sessions aimed to equip the families with the knowledge and tools to support the children’s journey to improved communication.

The beneficiaries of this humanitarian initiative included both Kenyan and Somali children residing in Kenya.

The effort reflects Saudi Arabia’s sustained commitment to humanitarian outreach and medical aid across the African continent.
