Say yes to God

*MESSAGE*

The Bible is full of examples of one person getting involved and making a massive difference. Quite often, they are people who don’t really fit into the shoes of a big-shot hero. Young David was the only person who stood up to Goliath (1st Samuel 17). One little boy gave up his lunch, and then watched Jesus feed 5,000 (John 6:9-11). And there was only one begotten Son of God—yet He brought salvation to the whole world.

The problem is, God’s plans for us have a habit of taking us out of our comfort zones, and it can be tempting to say, ‘Sorry God, I can’t do it. You’ve picked the wrong person for this plan. ‘ The psalmist must have been feeling like this when he wrote Psalms 102. He compares himself to a sparrow—powerless, small, and alone. But God is brilliant at using our weaknesses and turning them into strengths.

Is God calling you into a place where you don’t feel entirely safe, at ease, or strong? God’s with You. He wants us to know that His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in our weakness (2nd Corinthians 12:9). If there’s one thing the Bible is clear about, it’s simply this: God wants to use our weaknesses. He wants to take you to places you’ve never been with Him, and all He needs is for you to say ‘yes’.

If only you’ll accept God’s invitation for you to partner with Him. You’ll find out how much He wants to use you.

1. Father, take my life and use it for Your glory in the name of Jesus;

2. Lord, deliver me from the spirit of condemnation in the name of Jesus;

4. Lord, deliver me from the plans of the enemy in the name of Jesus.
