Lalude, expressed his hurt over Sola Sobowale’s recent behavior.
In a viral podcast interview, he shared an incident where Sobowale ignored him at a public event.
Lalude highlighted their long-standing history in the film industry, making the incident particularly painful for him.
Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Oodua, popularly known as Lalude, has shared a painful experience involving his longtime colleague, actress Sola Sobowale, revealing how her recent behavior left him deeply hurt.
During a candid and now-viral podcast interview, the Yoruba movie icon recounted how Sobowale ignored him at a public event, despite their longstanding history in the industry.
The incident reportedly happened during Olayemi Olayinka’s show, which both stars attended.
In his words:
“She knew I was there, but she didn’t bother to greet me. That thing really pained me.”
Lalude expressed that despite Sola Sobowale’s fame and widespread recognition, she is not older than him, nor is she above offering a simple greeting out of mutual respect.
The actor went on to recall his early connection with Sobowale, explaining that he had been part of her journey into Nollywood. He spoke about their work on the stage play Ogun Awoyaya, directed by Jide Kosoko at the National Theatre.
“It was during that time that Ngozi brought her to me,” he added, noting that Sobowale was still new to the industry back then.
In a subtle jab, Lalude also questioned the public perception of Sobowale’s wealth. While many believe she is one of Nollywood’s richest actresses, he hinted that reality may be different from appearances.
