Synology Showcases Unified AI-Driven Data and Surveillance Ecosystem at COMPUTEX 2025

Synology has unveiled a powerful lineup of next-generation solutions at COMPUTEX 2025, reinforcing its position as a global leader in storage, surveillance, and private cloud innovation. Under the theme of enabling trusted data ecosystems, Synology introduced the new PAS7700 active-active NVMe storage, the cloud-native C2 Surveillance video management system, and expanded productivity and home cloud offerings—all designed to meet the evolving needs of enterprises, professionals, and everyday users.

PAS7700: Enterprise-Grade Active-Active NVMe Storage Leading Synology’s enterprise announcements is the PAS7700, a flagship all-flash storage platform built to deliver non-disruptive, ultra-high-performance for mission-critical workloads.

Housed in a 4U chassis with dual controllers and 48 NVMe SSD bays, the PAS7700 supports up to 1.65PB of raw capacity with expansion units, while scaling memory up to 2,048GB and supporting 100GbE networking.

It achieves up to 2 million IOPS and 30GB/s sequential throughput, making it ideal for high-intensity operations like real-time analytics, virtualization, and AI workloads. Its active-active architecture ensures continuous uptime across all system layers and includes 3-2-1-1 data protection with immutable snapshots and offsite backup options.

Engineered to deliver enterprise-grade performance at mainstream pricing, PAS7700 offers inline and offline deduplication to optimize storage efficiency. It is fully compatible with Synology’s productivity apps including Synology Drive and Synology Office, increasing concurrent user support by threefold. PAS7700 is set to launch in the second half of 2025.

C2 Surveillance: Cloud-Native Video Surveillance Without NVRs Marking a major leap in video surveillance, Synology announced C2 Surveillance, a new Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS) platform that removes the need for local NVR hardware. Designed for multi-site enterprises, it offers seamless deployment, real-time monitoring, and AI-powered detection across geographies.

Camera setup is completed within minutes, even on mobile devices. Footage is recorded to microSD cards locally, with optional cloud backup. Failover offline mode ensures local recording even during internet outages. Users can easily configure detection tasks, while AES-128 encryption, MFA, and ISO 27001/SOC 2 compliance protect data.

Integration with Windows Active Directory, centralized role-based access, and low bandwidth mode (cutting usage by up to 50%) make it ideal for high-scale environments. C2 Surveillance will be available later this year via the Synology website.

Expanded Enterprise Protection: ActiveProtect DP7200 Synology also introduced DP7200, the latest appliance in its ActiveProtect data protection series. Designed to be deployed as a standalone branch backup server or a central CMS host, it offers unified protection across distributed workloads.

Built-in immutability and network isolation defend against cyber threats, while streamlined recovery ensures always-available clean backups.

Productivity Suite Enhancements: ChatPlus and Synology Meet To support hybrid work environments, Synology launched two enterprise-grade collaboration tools: ChatPlus and Synology Meet. ChatPlus provides secure team messaging with advanced channel controls and permission settings.

Synology Meet offers private cloud-based video conferencing, ensuring full data ownership and encrypted communication. Both apps run on Synology’s on-premise infrastructure, addressing data sovereignty and privacy concerns.

BeeStation Plus: The Home Cloud Hub For families and individual users, Synology introduced BeeStation Plus, a plug-and-play private cloud solution. It enables auto-backup from iCloud Photo Libraries and includes Plex Media Server integration for home entertainment.

BeeStation Plus also supports surveillance when paired with the Synology CC400W camera, offering motion, pet, and sound detection with real-time alerts.

Synology’s COMPUTEX 2025 presentation underscores a unified vision—delivering enterprise performance, intelligent cloud infrastructure, and privacy-first design across every solution tier. Whether for large-scale data centers or smart homes, Synology continues to redefine what’s possible in secure, AI-powered data management.
