Tottenham Hotspur have officially parted ways with head coach Ange Postecoglou after two years at the helm.
The decision was confirmed in a club statement on Friday following what was described as “reflection” and a thorough performance review.
“We are extremely grateful to Ange for his commitment and contribution during his two years at the club,” Spurs said.
“Ange will always be remembered as only the third manager in our history to deliver a European trophy, alongside legends Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw.
“However, the Board has unanimously concluded that it is in the best interests of the Club for a change to take place.”
Postecoglou’s time at Tottenham included a memorable Europa League triumph, a major milestone for the club.
In his farewell message, the Australian manager expressed pride in his achievements and gratitude for the journey.
“My overriding emotion is one of pride,” Ange said.
“Leading one of England’s historic clubs and bringing back the glory it deserves will stay with me forever.
“That night in Bilbao was the culmination of two years of hard work and belief.
“We’ve laid strong foundations this club shouldn’t have to wait another seven years for its next success.”
Postecoglou exits as one of only three managers in Spurs history to win a European title, leaving behind a legacy of passion, resilience, and silverware.
