Una Go Blame Me Too✍️✅

  • Una go blame me too?

Last year December, my elder brother brought home a lady who he introduced to the family as his fiancee.

My parents were so excited as they had been troubling him for a while to settle down.

But I don’t want that lady, for two reasons. Firstly, she was from a different tribe and secondly, I had already made preparations for my best friend, Brenda to come over and celebrate Christmas with us.

My motive was to link her up with my brother.

Brenda and I have been friends from the University and had done many things together. She was gentle and humble and I believed she would make a good wife for my brother and wonderful daughter in-law to my mother.

“That girl does not speak our language oo”. I pointed out to my mother in order to poison her mind against my brother’s fiancee.

“It doesn’t matter. What matters is that she is a good girl and I like her”. She had replied.

Later on, I succeeded in getting my elder sister by my side and with her help, I set a bait for the girl which she fell for.

My brother broke up with her and she went back to her place before Brenda arrived on 25th.

Everything worked as planned out. Before the end of the holiday, my brother had fallen helplessly in love with Brenda.

They got married just last month.

So yesterday , I decided to pay them a surprise visit. I left for the city without pre informing them.

I arrived around 8pm.

The security man, Musa, insisted on getting permission from Brenda before letting me in.

“What nonsense?, do you not know me again?”. I had quarrelled.

But he was still hesitant and shut the gate at my face.

I was already burning with rage before he came out few minutes later.

“Madam say make I no open gate”. He said.

“Are you normal, did you not tell her it’s me, Amaka?”. I asked.

He nodded.

“I did”.

“You must be crazy”. I cursed as I searched through my bag for my phone. I placed a call on Brenda.

“Hello, Brenda, I’m at your gate”. I was saying as soon as she picked the call.

“Did Musa not tell you what I said?”. She asked.

“No oo”. I replied.

“Okay. I said you should go back to wherever you’re coming from since you’re too big to call before coming over”. She said and hung the phone before I could reply.

I was shocked to the bone marrow.

Was she actually talking to me?. I wondered.

I decided to call her again. She didn’t pick up this time.

In my own brother’s house?

I called my brother immediately.

“I’m not at home, just do what my wife asked you to do, please”. He hung the phone too.

I don’t understand.

It was already late and the clouds were gathering.

I called Brenda again and she finally picked up after 3 attempts.

“Amaka, are you deaf or something?, I said you should go back to wherever you’re coming from”. She thundered, and hung up again, without giving me chance to speak.

I tried her number two more times before it was switched off.

I begged Musa to allow me sleep in his cabin but he bluntly refused.

“I still like this my job”. He responded.

I couldn’t believe it. My own best friend, shutting me outside my brother’s house!.

I walked around the whole street of Lagos that night until I found a little space under the bridge and that was where I passed the night.

I’m on actually on my way down east this morning, as I type this.

I tried discussing the matter with a seat mate in the bus, but the woman said I’m at fault.

“You shouldn’t had gone there without prior notice”. She had said.

But I’m still not seeing anything wrong in what I did, I only wanted to surprise my friend and my brother.

No be wickedness be that?

What do you think?
