We were deceived. We didn’t know we were coming to do a counter-protest – Women who staged ‘say no to protest’ rally in Abuja two days ago lament

Nigerian women who staged a ‘’Say no to protest’ rally in Abuja two days ago have come out to allege that they were deceived and used for the exercise.

In a viral video, one of the women could be seen lamenting and alleging that they had come to the FCT for an empowerment programme and then made to carry the placards with different inscriptions kicking against the planned protest against hardship.

An X-user who translated what was said in the video stated that one of the women who spoke in Hausa said

‘’They were deceived.

They told them that they’d help them with food

They didn’t tell them it was a protest but a gathering so items would be distributed to them Now they’ve left them without money food, water and transport fare”

What do you think?
