Woman dies in two-vehicle collision on County Road 18 in South Dundas

One vehicle was attempting to make a right-hand turn when it was struck by the other, the OPP said.

An 84-year-old woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision on County Road 18 at Heritage Road in South Dundas on Tuesday.

OPP officers responded to the collision just after 6 p.m., and the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry detachment’s initial investigation concluded that both vehicles had been travelling westbound, and that when one attempted to make a right-hand turn on to Heritage Road it was struck by the other.

Ornge Air took the South Dundas woman to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

South Dundas is located about 100 kilometres south of Ottawa.

The investigation continues with assistance from OPP technical collision investigators and a reconstructionist, the OPP said in a news release Wednesday.
